In a 120 square meter exhibition area, the story from the rapid ascent and the golden age of the quarry and the stone mason's trade is told. Also there is much interesting to learn about the decline following soon after the turn of the century and the rough times, the hard work and the short life of the stone mason. Numerous expositions as well as living stage productions, a stone mason's hut, and the mining conditions in the quarry communicate an exciting insight into the working world of the stone mason. The museum is a dependent of the city and half-timbered building museum "Old University" in Eppingen and is accommodated in the historical 1903 Mühlbacher city hall and schoolhouse.
